Down On The Farm

I recently visited with a friend who required a bit of help with her spinning. Her husband bought a spinning wheel from me for her as a Christmas present a couple of years ago, but she had not yet used it! We picked a day and I went over. We spent some time spinning on her wheel and on a spindle so she could get the feel of drafting and feeling the twist go into the fibre. We had a lovely lunch of homemade carrot soup. Afterwards, before heading home, we took a tour around her farm to see the animals. Below are pictures of her beautiful Shetland sheep and Chantecler chickens. I can’t wait to go back.

Happy knitting,

Kelly
